Traditional Buckskin Doll - White
This doll has sold but another one in white with blue is on its way! She will vary slightly from this one, as each doll is unique, but is sure to be just as beautiful.
These incredible and hard to find traditional dolls have body and clothes made of brain-tanned elk buckskin. They have a very smoky scent!
Braided hair is buffalo hair. Dolls are stuffed with cotton and beautifully beaded with size 11 glass seed beads using nylon thread. Moccasins and dress are sewn with sinew. Museum/heirloom quality dolls hand crafted by Maretta Afraid of Bear.

Maretta Afraid of Bear is Oglala Lakota and lives on the Pine Ridge Reservation near Oglala, South Dakota with her husband and two sons. She is currently enrolled in the nursing program at Oglala Lakota College.
