The Scout

Original watercolor on antique ledger paper, signed with the artist's distinctive signature and dated '20.  Double ledger (two connected sheets) 16" x  21" total. Unframed.

Artist's Statement on the Piece: The Scout wore a wolf skin for camouflage while searching for buffalo, tracking potential enemies, or threats to the people. More importantly, the warrior took on the characteristics of the wolf, his fierceness, his tenacity, his ability to track. The wolf is his relative. He is Tonweya.

Striking black and gold on ledger paper dated 1906 in impeccable condition from the Harmony Mining Company. Mr Pulliam is a nationally known, award winning artist. His work has been featured at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian - New York and on the cover of their Spring 2016 magazine.
